What's HAPM?

Gotoh's HAPM system was specially created for controlling the post height on steel string guitars, in addition to locking a string easily and quickly.

The HAP system holds an adjustable-height roller-post.

The Magnum-lock system locks a string at minimum spools and provides the stability for tuning.

Gotoh has finally suceeded to combine both these systems into what they call HAPM.

Why HAPM?

The HAPM system enables you to adjust the height of the post and string tension as you prefer. A lower positioned post provides a stronger sound reflection and also allows you to remove the string retainers that sometimes sacrifices the string pitch to recover. It's definitely a revolutionary system for the usual weak points of a guitar set up with a tremolo unit, ensuring maximum tuning stability.
